Christmas 2018

We had a blessed time this weekend between the Ladies Dinner on Monday, Church services Wednesday, Lots of rehearsals, Saturday Night’s Annual Christmas Dinner Party, a beautiful morning of worship Sunday, and finally the youth performance of  “BC Today” (Which can be seen and shared on our Public Marion Baptist Church FB page).

For some who could not attend this year, you were in our thoughts, hearts, and our prayers. Please hurry back! God bless you and keep you, everyone!

Service times will be normal next week… Wednesday at 7pm, Sun at 9:30, 10:30, and 6pm (where you can enjoy our Junior kids performance).

Loser eats a goldfish!

This year, the kids of Marion Baptist Church have volunteered to raise some extra funds for our upcoming 6th Annual International Songs of Praise Event,  by bringing in change donations! Of course we turned it into a friendly competition! Girls against boys! Winning team gets to have an ice cream party! The Losing team chose a representative to eat a goldfish! We are so blessed by the youth of our church! What joy they bring! Go team! So…who are you rooting for?

Youth Caroling at Silver Tree in Schertz

Glory To The New Born King!

 

Our Youth group, children’s choir, and some eager church members met up December 16th to share the joy of Christmas with some of the patients at Silver tree in Schertz. A wonderful time was had by all as Mrs. Dene led us in song to cheer up the residents and share the true reason we celebrate.  We set out with our home made Christmas cards and a song in our hearts, hoping to be a blessing to others but soon realized how blessed we each were to be there.  All of the residents had the biggest smiles and warmest hugs for each of us.  They joined in on the singing and then before we left surprised us all by singing back to “We Wish You A Merry Christmas.”  It was beautiful!  

Afterwards we headed back for our annual Ginger Bread House Decorating. Lots of activities coming up. Check the calendar or give us a call to join in the fun as we learn more about The Word together and also have some sweet time of fellowship. Youth Group meets for Bible Study on Sunday mornings at 9:30.

 

 

Special Service Sunday Nov 22

Come worship with us as we sing and testify to our great Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Our special guest will be with us to make this one day to remember.

Services Start at 10:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Miss Jennifer Pennington has been ministering in music for 25 years and her father has been her pastor for 26 years. Teen and teen camps have been a highlight of her life for 15 years. The local church ministry is her heart. She’s taught junior girls, teen girls, and has built several bus routes over the years. However, singing and testifying has been her joy since her salvation at the age of 12. She works with the children’s choir and special music at Berean Baptist Church. Her prayer is that she will be a blessing as she ministers to you in song on this special day.
